Faith and Generosity

Changing the world

Texas Baptist offering for World Hunger

Texas Baptists are working together with many Baptist partners in Texas and around the world to show Christ’s love and generosity by meeting immediate hunger needs and helping people escape the devastation of poverty.

Alongside these trusted partners, the Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger seeks to empower those in need by funding relief and development projects that are holistic and sustainable.

Whether providing clean water to drink, nutritious food from a community garden, or education to find a job, your generosity, through this Offering, is reaching and changing the world.

Something wonderful has happened!

The Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger has grown to be a major offering for sustaining relief, development, water and agricultural projects around the world. The name may say “WORLD” but this is not a long distance offering – this is YOUR offering.

When your gifts are received through this Offering, the recipients say “Texas churches helped us.” And the world over, everyone knows Texas. Your gifts are used in Christ-honoring ways at home and abroad, as mandated in Scripture. And these gifts are not dollars alone. When teams from Texas churches work side by side with Hunger Offering projects, the bonds of Christian friendship deepen into life-giving partnerships. The Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger is committed to development that honors Christ and the priorities of local leaders.

Great people are doing the work of building God’s kingdom of love. Your gifts are multiplied because the glory is for God’s generosity through brotherly love. As one enthusiastic overseas pastor and recipient of Offering support said, “Having a water well on our church property has made us a leader in our village. Now we have a new voice every day, and we are able to be living water.”

Join with the psalmist to “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” (Proverbs 31:8) Give and go. Join with the Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger today and know the power of faith and generosity to change the world.
